Moodboard:

A mood board is great pre-presentation documentation, as it shows key ideas, tone, theme and genre. The range of set images shows styles in relation to the topic. This mood board clearly represents the genre of pop and acoustic genres. By using, the specific artist that represent the genre, clothes worn and also examples of other music magazine. My including fashion and styles of artists can have an impact of the readers fashion style. The overall style of the acoustic genre is very casual and stripped back clothing.

Fonts:

Unplugged:

The font above(doctors glitch) will be used for my masthead/title. This title is relatable to the genre as the glitch theme suggests instruments being disconnected representing the acoustic style. In addition, it's unique and eye-catching. Yet represents the stripped back theme of acoustic genre. This is why this font will be used for my title. The title will be spread across the top of the front page, it's placed there because it will intrigue readers to the meaning behind the title.  In addition, the target audience for my magazine will use Unplugged as a source of escapism. This is key to the Title as it shouldn't be too formal.

Do You Love Me:

The font used above is called KG Do You Love Me and will be used for straplines. This Font has the sense of simplicity attached to it yet it stands out. This is what Unplugged is all about. Unplugged uses artists representing acoustic pop who have a simplistic feel however they stand out due to them being unique. This idea intertwines with the font Do You Love Me. Furthermore, the Font will be eye-catching for subtitles giving the reader insight into the types of articles and key content featured in Unplugged. It may deter the reader if the font used for Straplines is difficult to read, Do You Love Me is clear.

Timeless:

Timeless will be used for the main part of article writing. It's an easy font to read and not overwhelming for the reader to read. Meaning its perfect for articles. Its simple yet fits the general theme of the magazine. Timeless intertwines perfectly with Do You Love Me. this key element helps the magazine have more flow and guides the readers throughout the magazine. Moreover, as its a sans serif font, it suits for body text for article writing. The simplicity that timeless has will make the reader read on.

Colour Palette:

The chosen colours for my magazine is polish pine, white, Alice blue, nickel and registration black. These 5 colours fit perfectly with the rustic feel of acoustic, however, the Alice Blue and Polish pine link the pop theme with this idea.

I decided to use the polish pine and registration black (for the Image) and white, Alice blue and nickel in terms of text. White, Alice Blue and nickel for the text as they are extremely bold colours, which stands out in front of the background. The Alice blue was chosen due to its connotations of relaxation. Relaxation is a key theme within acoustic pop music, which combines with the reasoning behind Alice Blue being chosen. This theme links to my target audience. As most are students they will be using my magazine as a form of escapism. White & nickel were chosen as they have a sense of simplicity connotated to the acoustic pop style. Due to these strong themes being relatable my target audience will connect to the genre and magazine more.

On the other hand, I decided to use the polish pine and registration black in terms of image. Polish pine was chosen due to the secondary target audience. Unplugged fits both genders requirements, that is the reason behind this colour being chosen. Registated black has many connections for example originality and style. This will allow the main image to stand out, which will grasp the readers when looking at the front page cover. It should captivate my target audience and make them read on. In addition, Black is extremely convenient and will not blend in with the bold colours from the article writing. This colour scheme enables readers to get captivated and drawn in to read the unique features that Unplugged utilises.
